Liability claims arising from purely financial losses are covered, i.e. ones where there are no consequential damages arising from personal damages and damages to property. An example of such an insurance would be any kind of professional indemnity insurance.

Durch die Vermögensschadenversicherung werden Haftpflichtansprüche aus reinen Vermögensschäden, die also keine Folgeschäden von Personen- und Sachschäden sind, gedeckt. Ein Beispiel dafür ist etwa jede Art der Berufshaftpflichtversicherung.
