The fund management company manages the investment fund independently and in its own name for the account of the investors; its main purpose is the conduct of the fund business. It and its agents act independently and safeguard exclusively the interests of the investors. Its duties include in particular investment decisions, valuation of the assets, calculation of the net asset value, and the issue and redemption of units. Since 2020 its licence has been governed by the Financial Institutions Act (Art. 32 et seq. FinIA); the CISA continues to govern the products. Its head office must be in Switzerland.

Die Fondsleitung verwaltet den Anlagefonds für Rechnung der Anleger selbständig und in eigenem Namen; Hauptzweck ist die Ausübung des Fondsgeschäfts. Sie und ihre Beauftragten handeln unabhängig und wahren ausschliesslich die Interessen der Anleger. Zu ihren Aufgaben gehören namentlich Anlageentscheide, Bewertung der Anlagen, Berechnung des Nettoinventarwerts sowie Ausgabe und Rücknahme der Anteile. Seit 2020 richtet sich ihre Bewilligung nach dem Finanzinstitutsgesetz (Art. 32 ff. FINIG); das KAG regelt weiterhin die Produkte. Die Hauptverwaltung muss sich in der Schweiz befinden.
