Domestic Trust

A domestic trust is a trust in which a foreign connection is established solely by choosing the foreign law applicable to the trust, e. g. by making the trust, whose settlor, trustee and beneficiaries are all resident in Switzerland, subject to a foreign law.

Binnentrust 0185-de
Als Binnentrust wird ein Trust bezeichnet, bei dem einzig durch die Wahl des auf den Trust anwendbaren ausländischen Rechts ein Auslandbezug hergestellt wird, dies z. B. dadurch, dass der Trust, dessen Settlor, Trustee und Begünstige alle Wohnsitz in der Schweiz haben, einem ausländischen Recht unterstellt wird.
