Investment-Trust is a company that is regularly established in the form of a public limited company. Its purpose is to provide the owner of capital with a high-yield investment by issuing its own securities and spreading the risk on the basis of carefully selected shares and bonds of other companies that are included in the portfolio of the company. The investment trust in the above-mentioned form is a precursor of today's collective investment schemes.

Investment-Trust ist ein regelmässig in Form einer Aktiengesellschaft gegründetes Unternehmen, das sich zur Aufgabe macht, dem Kapitalbesitzer dadurch eine gutverzinsliche Anlage zu verschaffen, dass aufgrund der in das Portefeuille der Gesellschaft aufgenommenen, sorgfältig ausgewählten Aktien und Obligationen anderer Unternehmungen, die Gesellschaft eigene Effekten emittiert und das Risiko verteilt. Der Investment-Trust in obengenannter Form ist ein Vorläufer der heutigen kollektiven Kapitalanlagen.
