Acceptance of the inheritance is a legal transaction, irrevocable, but possibly contestable due to lack of will. Acceptance takes place either by means of an explicit positive declaration of intent or by means of a conclusive act of will.

Die Annahme der Erbschaft ist rechtsgeschäftlicher, unwiderruflicher, wohl aber gegebenenfalls wegen Willensmängeln anfechtbarer Verzicht auf die Ausschlagung. Die Annahme erfolgt entweder durch ausdrückliche positive Willenserklärung oder durch eine in schlüssigen Handlungen sich offenbarenden Willensbetätigung.
