Brevi manu traditio (change of ownership) is tradition by mere (tacit or explicit) agreement that the person who already owned as Detentor (tenant, custodian, etc.) should from now on be the owner (legal owner).

Brevi manu traditio (Besitzwandlung) ist Tradition durch blosse (stillschweigende oder ausdrückliche) Einigung darüber, dass der bereits als Detentor Besitzende (Mieter, Verwahrer usw.) von nun an Eigenbesitzer (juristischer Besitzer) sein soll.
