The endorsement is the transfer note written on the back of the bill of exchange, which, however, has the effect of reissuing the bill of exchange. The blank endorsement consists only of the signature of the endorsers and does not name the endorser.

Das Indossament ist der auf der Rückseite des Wechsels geschriebene Übertragungsvermerk, dem jedoch die Wirkung einer neuen Ausstellung des Wechsels zukommt. Das Blanko-Indossament besteht nur aus der Unterschrift des Indossanten und nennt den Indossator nicht.
