European Social Entrepreneurship Funds (EuSEFs)

The European social entrepreneurship fund (EuSEF) is the EU fund label for promoting social enterprises; its legal basis is Regulation (EU) No 346/2013. Social enterprises are undertakings that pursue measurable social impact and provide services or goods for vulnerable, disadvantaged or excluded persons, such as housing placement, health and elderly care, childcare or access to employment and training. EuSEF managers are registered with the competent national supervisory authority and must invest at least 70 per cent of the fund's capital in qualifying social investments.

Der Europäische Fonds für soziales Unternehmertum (EuSEF) ist das EU-Fondslabel zur Förderung von Sozialunternehmen; Grundlage ist die Verordnung (EU) Nr. 346/2013. Als Sozialunternehmen gelten Unternehmen, die messbare soziale Wirkungen anstreben und Dienstleistungen oder Güter für schutzbedürftige, benachteiligte oder ausgegrenzte Personen bereitstellen, etwa Wohnraumvermittlung, Gesundheits- und Altersbetreuung, Kinderbetreuung oder Zugang zu Beschäftigung und Ausbildung. EuSEF-Verwalter werden bei der zuständigen nationalen Aufsichtsbehörde registriert und müssen mindestens 70 Prozent des Kapitals in qualifizierte soziale Anlagen investieren.
