Die Police (Versicherungsschein) ist die vom Versicherer ausgestellte Urkunde über die Rechte und Pflichten der Versicherungsvertragsparteien, die dem Versicherungsnehmer auszuhändigen ist; sie ist nur Beweisurkunde und kein Wertpapier; sie stellt sich dar als eine nachträglich vorzunehmende Beurkundung des Vertragsinhaltes.
