EU taxonomy

The EU taxonomy (Regulation EU 2020/852) is the EU's classification system for environmentally sustainable economic activities. An activity is taxonomy-aligned if it contributes substantially to one of six environmental objectives, does no significant harm to any other objective, complies with minimum social safeguards and meets the technical screening criteria. It serves as a reference for reporting and product design and, through market access, also affects Swiss providers.

Die EU-Taxonomie (Verordnung EU 2020/852) ist das Klassifikationssystem der EU für ökologisch nachhaltige Wirtschaftstätigkeiten. Eine Tätigkeit ist taxonomiekonform, wenn sie wesentlich zu einem von sechs Umweltzielen beiträgt, kein anderes Ziel erheblich beeinträchtigt (do no significant harm), soziale Mindeststandards einhält und die technischen Bewertungskriterien erfüllt. Sie dient als Referenz für Berichterstattung und Produktgestaltung und wirkt über den Marktzugang auch auf Schweizer Anbieter.
