Professional rules for mediators

Professional rules for mediators are the codes of conduct and procedure issued by the professional associations, in Switzerland notably the rules of the Swiss Federation of Mediation Associations (SDM), the Swiss Chamber of Commercial Mediation (SKWM) and the Swiss Bar Association; internationally the European Code of Conduct for Mediators. They govern training, independence, confidentiality, the handling of conflicts of interest, fee transparency and continuing education, and form the basis for recognition as a mediator.

Berufsregeln für Mediatoren 1083-de
Die Berufsregeln für Mediatoren sind die von den Fachverbänden erlassenen Standes- und Verfahrensregeln, in der Schweiz namentlich die Regeln des Schweizerischen Dachverbands Mediation (SDM), der Schweizerischen Kammer für Wirtschaftsmediation (SKWM) und des SAV; international der European Code of Conduct for Mediators. Sie regeln Ausbildung, Unabhängigkeit, Vertraulichkeit, Umgang mit Interessenkonflikten, Honorartransparenz und Weiterbildung und sind Grundlage der Anerkennung als Mediator.
