Types of conflict distinguish disputes by their subject matter: data conflicts (differing information), interest conflicts (competing needs), relationship conflicts (injuries, distrust), value conflicts (incompatible convictions) and structural conflicts (roles, resources, power relations). Christopher Moore's typology assists conflict diagnosis, since each type requires different interventions; commercial conflicts are usually hybrids.
